Drawing a Scene

I learned that King Arthur was one of the Nine Worthies, who were considered to be especially noble men.  They were Hector, Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Joshua, David, Judas Maccabeus, Arthur, Charlemagne, and Godfrey of Bouillon.  I read it in Caxton's introduction to Le Morte D'Arthur.  This can be counted as a very good source on the subject because any changes from popular perception in his description of them would certainly have been called out, and, if TV hasn't lied to me, this would almost definitely have resulted in an angry mob with torches and pitchforks.
