Imagining Your Game

  • I am designing my game for people who like King Arthur, and Arthurian topics in general.
  • My game teaches about the Arthurian myths in general.
  • My game happens in Britain.
  • The world will be like King's Quest I, only with a third of the necessary treasures.
  • It will show the Arthurian world, according to the medieval chronicles.
  • Supra.
  • The world is filled with references to the myths.
  • Directing the character, gaining points, etc. will be used from what I've already learned.
  • A game is more fun than a quiz.

Choosing a Topic

I chose King Arthur because, let's face it, no matter what I say, some medieval chronicler will have said it's correct.  In fact, I think that Bystandrius the Teugant made a sci-fi version of it in the 1190s.

Playing to Learn

  • I learned that most of the adventure games here don't seem to have much in relation with the genre, that strategy games are always fun, and that all chemical reactions inevitably result in fire.
  • The comic book style of Treadsylvania stood out to me because I found it intriguing.
